Greenhouse and Garden Crew Intern

What I liked
It was great to be able to gain experience in different areas. I spent time setting up Christmas lights and taking care of the flower beds. Most of my time I spent at the greenhouses seeding and transplanting flowers for the fall planting.
What I wish was different
Can't think of anything because they did everything they could to make it a great experience.
Advice
Let the people know at your internship what you want to learn and the areas you are interested in so they can make it the best experience for you.

What I liked
I loved having the opportunity to meet people from all different types of cultures. I learned about their faith, their family, etc. I learned that there is something to take and apply to your life from each individual.

I wouldn’t of changed my experience at all. I know I learned from every aspect of it.
Advice
I would share that you can learn from any experience. If your experience is hard, look for what you can learn from it and how you can grow. That is what will make the experience valuable to your life and worth your time.

I'd hoped to have more of a mentor to walk me through new tasks. There was a lot of learning on my own, which is good but difficult when working with new software and sensitive material.
Advice
I recommend studying as much as possible on one's own time. Take advantage of time and resources given for free like Lynda.

For anyone who has recently returned from serving a mission and wants the spirit of their missionary experience to continue, working at the MTC is the best way to do it. You can be involved with missionary work while readjusting to college life, and the people you'll work with are amazing.
