OT Systems Intern

HTI has an immediate opening for an IT Intern or Temporary Contractor with a manufacturing plant in Augusta, GA. This person will be assisting with configuring graphical user interfaces and trend data displays for their new Canary HMI system screens.

Pay: $20/hour
Length: ~8-12 weeks
Start date: Monday, July 7th
Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm, but can work part-time if preferred (i.e. Mon-Thurs, or shorter hours each day Mon-Fri, etc.).

Requirements:

• Must have 4-year degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related major, or be currently pursuing one (Junior or Senior)
• Desire to learn about Industrial Control Systems/OT used in the manufacturing industry
• Canva and PowerPoint design/layout experience
• Strong Windows/MS Office skills
• Some experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) or GUI preferred
• SQL experience is a plus, but not required
• Able to climb ladders and stairs in an industrial setting
• Pre-hire screening includes a drug screening and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Job duties:
Work with Engineering/Operations team to configure GUI screens and trend data displays for a new "process data historian" system the company is installing.
 

• Assist with "data historian" software (Canary Labs) trend data displays and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screen layout/graphics development.
• Configure new data historian system graphical user interface screens and trend data displays.
• This will require working with existing DCS screens/programming and Operations personnel to understand how to design new Canary HMI screens.
• Will require interacting with SQL server tag databases and Canary Labs data historian software.
