Import Specialist
We are looking for someone wanting to enter the exciting world or transportation/US Customs and begin building a career. DayStar Global has an available opportunity for an Import Specialist. This position will handle the transportation of ocean and air import shipments and work with US Customs to process and all entry into the United States Commerce.

Duties include:
- Coordinate Ocean and Air Freight bookings.
- File required documentation in a timely fashion in accordance with rules, regulations, and internal company policies.
- Interface with US Customs and other US Governmental Agencies.
- Arrange pickups, deliveries, and domestic transportation.
- Provides all aspects of customer service to insure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Freight rate negotiations as well as sourcing of new vendors as needed.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills:
- Computer: basic Microsoft Platform including but not limited to Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform Mathematical calculations and analysis.
- Communicate effectively with oral and written channels.
- Learn new software programs with adequate training.
- Have responsibility of project oversight.
- Implement new strategies.
