Job Description

The Digital Streaming Assistant will serve as an assistant to the Digital Streaming Coordinator and will assist in the live production of athletic events that are streamed to the Mountain West Network. Other duties may include assisting with switching, running graphics, camera operator, and other assigned tasks. Training is provided to qualified, self-motivated students that have a strong desire to excel. This is your chance to become part of the rich tradition within Utah State Athletics while gaining a professional skill set.

 

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must be available starting approximately the beginning of August through the first part of May, depending on scheduled events.

Candidates must be:

  • committed to assigned streaming events
  • highly detail oriented
  • willing to work non-traditional hours which include some Sundays, weekends, holidays, and late nights when needed
  • adaptable in a non-stop, fast-paced environment
  • knowledgeable of basic broadcasting and broadcast technology
  • technically savvy
  • familiar with cameras
  • passionate for various sports

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Utah State University Athletics Video department is to provide quality live productions in the most efficient and effective manner. The video department will also continue to ensure the safety of student athletes and staff by complying with the rules and regulations set by the NCAA, the Mountain West Conference, and Utah State University.
