Role: Graduate Trainee Engineer (Sales/Application Engineer)

Role Overview: 

The member joining this position will work as a Graduate Trainee Engineer. This role will involve collaboration and support within a dynamic work environment. Travel may be required to various regions in the USA mainly in California for studying various process plants, making proposals, project execution, and client engagement.  In order to maintain strong customer relationships. The member will work with various stakeholders across the USA and India for initial training (Theoretical+ Hands-on).  Covering the plants effectively and offering them techno-commercially correct solutions.

Purpose of the Role

The Graduate Trainee Engineer will support technical evaluations and gain hands-on experience in energy benchmarking, steam systems and performance analysis.  Building a strong foundation for a career in technical sales and energy solutions while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Developing Technical and Business Acumen: 

  • Engage in a comprehensive 9 to 12-months project, dedicated to energy benchmarking and performance evaluation of steam systems for one or two key industries in the USA.  Including food and beverage sectors.
  • Conduct in-depth technical assessments and analyses to support initiatives focused on energy conservation and process efficiency enhancements.
  • Conduct market research to identify key players in the market and provide valuable market insights to Forbes Marshall Inc.
  • Identify potential energy-saving opportunities and process optimisation in the chosen industries by studding the plants and processes within the industry thereby partnering with key stakeholders at the customer.
  • Learn and participate in key business potential mapping initiatives for Forbes Marshall Inc, in order to scope the competitive landscape and build the grid.

 

Routine Site Visits and Plant Surveys: 

  • Conduct regular site visits and plant surveys as part of routine activities to ensure the effective implementation of project tasks and gather accurate data for assessments.

 

Collaboration and Innovation: 

  • Work along with senior engineers to cultivate technical expertise, uncover business opportunities, and contribute to innovative solutions that drive success.
  • Participate in the end to end business life cycle

 

Documentation and Reporting: 

  • Assist in the preparation of thorough technical documentation and detailed project reports to aid project evaluations and facilitate impactful client presentations.

 

Project Completion: 

  • Present and submit your project quotes for review, ensuring attention to quality and alignment with company standards.

 

Expertise Development: 

  • Build a robust foundation in energy conservation and process improvement through hands-on involvement, enhancing product knowledge and practical experience.

 

Customer Engagement: 

  • Serve as the primary technical and commercial liaison, addressing client inquiries and challenges to ensure satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare technical reports and present to clients.

 

Brand Representation: 

  • Embody the values of Forbes Marshall as a brand ambassador within the USA market, cultivating sustainable relationships with customers

 

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • Students who have completed undergraduates in Mechanical/Chemical engineering, on or before August  2025.
  • Student in the last semester appearing for final exam can also apply.
  • Strong academic foundation with a keen interest in energy conservation, process efficiency, and technical sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to real-world scenarios, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in energy systems, steam performance, and related technical areas.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines and delivering quality results.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
