Chemistry & Biology Tutor

Job Responsibilities: 

As a chemistry and biology tutor, you'll provide personalized academic support to students, helping them understand concepts they are struggling with.

Responsibilities:
 Personalized Tutoring: Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students.
 Concept Clarification: Help students understand complex topics in chemistry and biology.
 Review and Reinforce: Review key concepts and reinforce learning through various methods.
Create and Adapt Materials: Develop or adapt lesson plans, worksheets, and other learning materials.
 Maintain Records: Keep thorough and accurate records of student tutoring interactions
 Attend Required Training Meetings: Attend scheduled trainings and meetings
 Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties may be assigned such as routine cleaning and projects for the tutoring
center
How many students to hire: 8-14
Wage/salary: $14/hr
Preferences for qualifications: Requirements:
Minimum 3.2 GPA
 Minimum grade of A- in CHEM and/or BIOL coursework
Attention to detail
 Reliability
 Ability to maintain consistent work hours
 Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Maintain confidentiality
Exhibit professional behavior
Ability to follow university policies and procedures
 

Preferred Qualifications:
 Have taken CHEM 1210, 1220, 2310, 2320, BIOL 1610, BIOL 1620
Prior tutoring and teaching experience
