ENGINEERING CO-OP

 

The Portage County Engineer is accepting applications from persons interested in the full-time or part-time seasonal position for an Engineering Co-op.  The selected candidate(s) will perform duties in support of professional personnel of the County Engineer’s Office. Duties include but are not limited to collecting, compiling and analyzing data. Conducting research and providing assistance with assigned projects. Assisting in preparing construction plans and setting up and operating various surveying instruments.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Student pursuing a degree in the following: civil, structural, construction engineering; surveying and mapping technology. Qualified candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License. The Engineering Co-op program is for a maximum of 600 hours. Successful applicant must pass a drug screen. Rate of pay is $17.00 per hour.
