Product Development Engineering Intern

Remington Ammunition is seeking a Product Development Engineering Student Intern to add to our team for summer 2025. The Product Development Engineer Intern will support our R&D engineering team on our Remington Ammunition product lines.  

 

This position is located in Lonoke, Arkansas.

 

As the Product Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist Product Development Engineers in developing new products through all phases of the development cycle from initial sample builds, testing and analysis of results, to final reporting of results in preparation for production.
  • Work with ballistics department to build loads in specification, handload test samples and perform testing as needed.
  • Tool up and adjust experimental machines.
  • Assist in running defined Engineering Qualification quantities of product and identify rework of tools as necessary.
  • Gauge parts to verify they are in tolerance.
  • Work with Production Adjusters to help with training and to get product samples manufactured to meet product specifications.

 

You will have:

  • Engineering student in an accredited technical college or university.  Prefer Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
  • Self-motivated hard worker
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings.
  • Good problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer and writing skills for data recording and creation of status reports.
  • Ability to shoot field guns for product testing purposes is preferred.
  • Experience with handloading, shooting and hunting preferred.

 

You might also have:

  • Hands-on experience with Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing concepts
  • CAD experience (SolidWorks)
  • Experience with firearms and ammunition

 

Additional Information:

  • Monday - Friday schedule (8-9 hour days)
  • Target internship dates: May - August 2025
