Calling All Civil Engineers - Entry through Principal!  Hybrid remote work  options available.

The City of Oshkosh is seeking skilled Civil Engineers to join our dynamic team! We are looking for professionals experienced in municipal civil engineering across key areas, but mainly to focus on transportation and pavement. Be part of our team that transforms visionary designs into reality, from initial drafting to the final structure.

Salaries:

Civil Engineer: Starting salary up to $84,780
Principal Civil Engineer: Starting salary up to $109,158

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Design: Develop technical designs for infrastructure projects, including streets, sewer systems, water mains, and more. Review plans prepared by others to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Public Interaction: Serve as the liaison with the public, ensuring clear communication and understanding of billing and project details.
  • Site Plan Review: Assess site plans, specifications, and state policies to ensure compliance with Oshkosh standards.
  • Stormwater Management: Ensure Capital Improvement Projects conform with relevant local and state regulations.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain GIS and CAD records, keeping our project files current.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee various Capital Improvement Projects, ranging from drainage to road construction.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers to enhance workflow and project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Civil Engineer (Entry Level):
    • Degree in Civil Engineering
    • Valid Driver’s License
  • Civil Engineer (Intermediate Level):
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
    • 1-4 years of related experience
    • Valid Driver’s License
  • Principal Civil Engineer:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
    • Four+ years of municipal engineering experience, including planning and review
    • Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin
    • Valid Driver’s License
