Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year. The salary range for Student Assistant (E&A) is $17.74 - $27.34 per hour.

The State Water Resources Control Board’s Office of Enforcement has an opening for a Student Assistant (Engineering and Architectural Sciences) in the Fraud, Waste and Abuse Prevention Unit. The position is located at 801 K Street, Suite 2300 in downtown Sacramento. The incumbent will be working part time during the school year and up to full-time during school breaks.
Duties:
The Student Assistant (Engineering and Architectural Sciences) is expected to work collaboratively to support engineers, geologists, scientists, and analysts in the Office of Enforcement. Knowledge of basic engineering principles, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with state databases such as GeoTracker is necessary for the incumbent to be successful in the position. The Student Assistant (Engineering and Architectural Sciences) is required to communicate effectively and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
