Product/Test Engineer

Product Test Engineers join almost all of NXP’s Business Lines, including: MCU/MPU, Automotive Processors, Advanced Analog, Connectivity & Security, Edge Processing, and Operations.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
- Responsible for all aspects of characterizing, qualifying and releasing products in high volume manufacturing.
- Participate in new product/technology core team to define: validation and characterization, cost structure and test/manufacturing strategy for the product/technology.
- Work entails coordination and interfacing with diverse areas and functions internal and external to NXP to launch new products into production.
- Ensure products released to manufacturing meet schedule, test time, cost and yield requirements.
- Detailed understanding of production test, reliability and qualification methodologies.
- Own and drive product characterization – create characterization plans, define matrix lots, perform statistical data analysis and deliver reports on performance to specification.
- Drive cost reduction and yield enhancement projects interfacing with internal and external factories.
- Assist with customer issues and quality incidents.
- Help drive product/test standardization, solutions and methodologies to improve product cycle time and cost.
Job Qualifications:
- Working towards BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Self-motivated team player that can work with various cross functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in the following is considered a plus: statistical data analysis, integrated circuits in CMOS technology, automatic test equipment (ATE), design for test (DFT) techniques, programming and application of microcontrollers.
- Ability to organize assignments and schedule time.
- Analytical & diagnostics skills.
- Innovative problem solver and lateral thinker.
