Engineer - Plastic Injection Mold
Summary:
Mauston Tool is expanding its capabilities and ability to serve a larger market in the plastic injection mold building industry. We are searching for dynamic individuals who desire to join a dedicated and progressive team.
Responsibilities:
The engineer is responsible for managing tooling projects for new products from conception through production start, and is also responsible for all repairs and changes to existing tooling.
The engineer is responsible to stay up to date on new tooling technologies and make recommendations to improve tooling capability, efficiency and cost.
-Attend and contribute to staff and facility meetings
-Trains and guides fellow employees as needed
-Quote and schedule jobs mediating between the mold shop management and the customer
-Conducts the job meetings for the assigned jobs
-Communicates with customers on a regular basis
-Assist in the mold design and design of electrodes as required
-Communicates with the moldmakers to assure the job is on schedule
Qualifications – Education and Experience
AS or BS degree in Engineering or Plastics preferred or equivalent experience. Or a minimum of 5 years of experience in directly related field.

-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills
-Understanding of injection mold design
-Understanding machine/manufacturing and tool making
-Knowledge of injection molds
-Efficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft products
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
