The State Water Resource Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer. The position is located at 850 Marina Bay Parkway Richmond, CA 95804 or can be located in any of our Division’s 13 statewide offices: Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Fresno, Glendale, Santa Ana, San Diego, Redding, Stockton, Monterey, Bakersfield, Carpinteria, or San Bernardino. 

Duties:

The Water Resource Control Engineer (WRCE) is expected to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage multiple tasks. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required. The WRCE will maintain consistent and regular attendance, communicate effectively (orally and in writing if both appropriate) in dealing with the public and/or other employees; develop and maintain knowledge and skill related specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct.

Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
