About the Position:

Under the direction of the Office Chief of System Metrics and Automation, a Supervising Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent, a Senior Transportation Engineer (Specialist), serves as the Engineering Project Manager (Specialist) for the Division of Traffic Operations.

The incumbent coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of key Traffic Operations led projects and programs that support a holistic, multi-modal, and proactive approach that can maximize the reliability and performance of the existing transportation system without added highway capacity. The projects and programs are complex and innovative, involve many stakeholders, and implement the latest transportation technologies and solutions that help build a foundation for the future of traffic and emergency management in California.
