The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Quality has an opening for a Student Assistant (Engineering & Architectural Sciences) within the Site Cleanup and Department of Defense Program.  This position is an opportunity for college student to be part of a multidisciplinary team, learn contaminate transport, learn California Water Board operations and federal and state statutes, and develop technical skills to help career growth and contaminant transport evaluations.  The position is located at California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) Headquarters, 1001 I Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento, California.  

Duties:
The Student Assistant (Engineering & Architectural) supports both the statewide Site Cleanup Program and Department of Defense (DoD) Program. The Student Assistant (Engineering & Architectural) is required to work independently and part of team, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks and projects.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
