Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year. The salary range for Scientific Aid is $17.22 - $26.54 per hour.

The Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board has an opening for a Student Assistant in the Wastewater Permitting Unit. The position is located at 895 Aerovista Place, Suite 101, in San Luis Obispo. The positions will be part time during the school year (10-15 hours a week) and up to full-time during school breaks.
Duties:
The Student Assistant, E&A is expected to work collaboratively to support Water Resource Control Engineers, Engineering Geologists, and Environmental Scientists. They are expected to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
