About the Position:

Under the direction of the Branch Chief of Program Project Management (PPM), a Senior Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent performs duties related to the continuing implementation and adherence to the principles of Project Management (PM) including but not limited to the project development process, project scheduling, capital and support cost estimating, monitoring, reporting on project performance, the development of district workload, and administration of project support tools.

Incumbent reviews, analyzes and provides comments to various types of reports, Project Study Report (PSR), Project Initiation Report (PIR), Project Report (PR) related to project cost, scope, schedule, and funding. Incumbent works directly with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Manager Assistants, and other functional units to ensure projects are properly estimated, resourced, scheduled, and programmed. Creates and utilizes reports to monitor and communicate project health and data quality. Assists with the development and preparation of project and program performance measures including development and maintenance of the District’s annual Capital Delivery Plan and Director’s Contract for Delivery.

Range D requires possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
