As a Global Graduate, you will begin the program in the department which you are recruited to and continue working within different areas of Volvo Cars during the program.  

 

The program includes senior mentorship, developed business understanding, personal-development trainings, go out and see activities as well as common graduate projects together with the other graduates.

In order to be considered for this program, you need to have completed your Master’s degree in any area of study prior to the start of the program in August 2024. You are also very welcome to apply in case you have already graduated, as long as you don’t have more than one year full-time working experience by the start of the program. Lastly, you need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

 As a graduate you have a full-time permanent employment and will start mid-August 2024. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that programs and non-product projects led by Indus are delivered on time, within budget and according to the required standards. My responsibilities within my area are product verification, equipment, and process.
  • Build trust and develop effective teams, understand the needs of the team both from a competency level and moral level.
  • Track time plans, deliverables, and costs to ensure program deliveries are met and I work closely with Indus Engineers to ensure transfer of information between the local PM and the Indus Engineer.
  • Have the mandate to secure execution of activities defined in my time plan and escalate program issues to the PM and resource issues to the concerned line manager.
  • Collaboration is crucial in my role, and I work closely with Indus engineers and other cross-functional team members to share information and request input.
  • Lead the cross-functional area network meeting where process solutions are defined and aligned using process design methodology.
  • Support in alignment for new concepts and process solutions with production management.
  • Report and quality assure milestones, gateways, and deliverables, escalating to concerned parties when deliveries and planning cannot be met.
  • Have process design methodology competence and I use it to educate and challenge my team to find cost-efficient options and solutions.
  • Use my cross-functional area network to lead and coordinate the layout development, changes, and investigations for local adaptations on new concepts to implement the best process solution with a focus on less complex solutions.
  • Strive for the lowest manufacturing cost and for efficient, simplified processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering field, Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Master’s degree required
  • Self-starter and self-guided
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong computer skills

 

The program is open to applicants from all over the United States. Work authorization in the US is a requirement.
