This position starts at $21.30/hr. with a shift increase for second shift and third shift with potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have an open position for 3rd shift.

Position Description:
This position is mainly responsible for, but not limited to, facility maintenance and repairs while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This full-time, third-shift Maintenance Generalist position is for Tyson Foods’ Vernon, Texas, location. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and grounds. Position will work with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks and various chemicals and lubricants and will be responsible for welding, soldering, plumbing, carpentry, and assembling equipment.
Requirements:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
· Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
· Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred.
· Must be willing to work in a changing environment.
· Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field in the previous 18 months.
· Must submit resume.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
