Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year. The salary range for Scientific Aid is $17.21 - $20.43 per hour.
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board has an opening for a Scientific Aid in the Redding Office working in the Site Cleanup and Underground Storage Tank Programs. This is an excellent opportunity for people beginning their careers to build their resume by gaining experience with environmental data, professional writing, inspections, and environmental investigations while being mentored by a great team of geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists. The position is located at 364 Knollcrest Dr., Suite 205, Redding, CA, 96002
Duties:
The incumbent is responsible for providing timely support to staff within the Groundwater Unit and the office by assisting in and completing tasks as assigned. The incumbent is required to work both independently and in a team environment, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks and be timely. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
