Programming/Design Engineer

Job Description: As a Programmer/Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of robotic and automated systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to program and design PLC/Robot systems while leveraging your expertise in 3D modeling, CAD, and mechanical engineering principles. Your innovative mindset, coupled with your programming proficiency and desire for continuous learning, will drive the success of our client's projects.

Location: Chardon, OH (onsite role)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software solutions for robotic and automated systems.
  • Utilize 3D modeling and CAD software to design and prototype robotic components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and technicians to integrate software and hardware components, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software and control systems to identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in robotics and automation, actively seeking opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skill set.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming robot/PLC systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software.
  • Solid grasp of mechanical engineering principles, with hands-on experience in mechanical design and fabrication.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines.

Pay: $50,000-$52,000
