Responsibilities & Development Opportunities 

MBK Engineers is seeking motivated individuals to join the firm at various levels depending on the individuals’ qualification and experience in related field. The primary duties of this position consist of: 

  • Developing strong analytical skills and strengths in water resources engineering topics which complement our services;
  • Performing hydrologic engineering and reservoir operations tasks;
  • Working closely with a core team of engineering professionals interested in advancing the community of practice and serving a progressive and supportive client base with shared values;
  • Serving local communities through the development of creative, responsible, and robust engineering solutions;
  • Developing core modeling expertise (e.g., HEC-ResSim) to facilitate contribution to team assignments;
  • Developing core computer programming expertise, including mastery of languages and software platforms, and identifying unique areas of focus which complement those of other team members;
  • Executing projects and working with other engineering and support staff to solve complex water resources problems;
  • Gaining exposure to flood management planning programs;
  • Assisting clients to comply with changing flood control operations standards, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team;
  • Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients, representing MBK and clients on multiple levels.

 

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, agricultural, environmental or water resources engineering, or a related field and a minimum of one year of relevant engineering experience;
  • Familiarity with California water systems, regulations, and policies.

The annual salary for this position depends on experience: the range is:

$70,347 to $154,492
