Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title:  Mechanical / Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contributes to the advancement of our company's technology and products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept to production, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability.
  2. Engineering Analysis: Conduct engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA), to validate designs and optimize performance.
  3. CAD Modeling: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  4. Prototyping and Testing: Coordinate prototyping activities and conduct thorough testing to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other subsystems.
  6. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports, to communicate technical details and project status effectively.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical engineering, and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, codes, and safety requirements applicable to mechanical systems and components.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field / Equivalent work experience
  2. Experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment.
  3. Proficiency in Inventor and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
  4. Experience working in industries such as Farming and Ranching.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct engineering analysis and interpret results.
  6. Experience with prototyping techniques and testing methodologies.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to learn new things and to be teachable
  9. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  10. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  11. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
  2. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

 

Benefits:

4 Day Work Week Monday- Thursday

Hours: 6am-3:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000-65,000 DOE
