Position Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to our commitment to environmental stewardship in the cement manufacturing industry. As an Environmental Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our environmental engineering team to support various environmental initiatives, compliance activities, and sustainability projects.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in conducting environmental monitoring activities, including air quality monitoring, water quality sampling, and noise level monitoring.
  • Support the analysis of environmental data to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.
  • Participate in environmental audits to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of cement production, such as energy efficiency improvements and waste minimization.
  • Support research and development projects focused on environmental innovation and sustainability, including the evaluation of new technologies and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of environmental reports for regulatory agencies, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Participate in training programs to increase environmental awareness and compliance among plant personnel, and help develop training materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments, such as production, engineering, health and safety, and quality control, to integrate environmental considerations into plant operations and projects.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements, preferably related to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and environmental monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for environmental stewardship and sustainability.
