Your Team, Your Impact
The Storage Memory Architecture team in Marvell is looking for a summer intern. Marvell is the industry's leading supplier of storage and memory controller solutions for the data center. The intern will join a team of experts in researching new architectures and modeling techniques for storage and memory systems using the NVMe or CXL host protocols. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in at least one of these subjects: SSDs, PCIe, NVMe, CXL, NAND flash, DRAM memories, storage architectures, memory systems, and performance modeling.
What You Can Expect
- Understand DRAM, NAND, and SSD technologies.
- Understand storage and memory systems in the data center.
- Develop storage and memory system architectures using C, C++, or Python.
- Develop performance and latency models.
- Evaluate architectures based on performance, latency, and cost metrics.
- Exercise architecture models using read and write workloads.
- Write architecture presentations and specifications.
What We're Looking For
- Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
- Previous experience in industry is not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Courses and research experience related to computer architecture, hardware design, programming, modeling techniques.
- Prior experience with at least one of these storage and memory technologies: PCIe, NVMe, CXL, NAND flash, DRAM, SSDs, ARM or RISC-V CPUs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience in modeling chip and system architectures.
- Experience in machine learning algorithms is a plus.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
27 - 54, $ per hour.
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
