Process/Production Engineer Intern Summer 2024

In this role a student will be exposed to a challenging manufacturing environment and will work with multiple aspects of the production process including root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and process optimization, while learning about safety, process operations, process chemistry, meeting timelines, and project management. Students will be given assignments consistent with company goals and work with all levels of staff to develop and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plant Safety
  • Learning/documenting processes
  • Learn about SPC and variation
  • Process optimization techniques
  • Learn lab test methods/procedures
  • Compile a presentation for completed projects and present to management

Required Education

  • Completion of sophomore college year in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Microsoft Office/word processing/spreadsheet/presentation software proficiency. MS-Access knowledge a plus
  • Basic chemistry lab experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams
  • Leadership

Assignment Duration:

  • Intern:8-12 weeks

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Market competitive hourly rate

Expectations:

  • Prompt and regular attendance;
  • Comply with all site policy & training requirements;
  • Satisfactorily perform duties as assigned;
  • Participation in site Intern/Co-op events & activities; and
  • Final presentation of Intern/Co-op activities & learnings.
