What are you planning on doing this summer? How about joining IMDEX for a paid summer internship program, targeted to Cal Poly students, where you will have an excellent opportunity to build your professional network, work with cool technology and gain valuable hands-on experience collaborating with our world-class technical team in San Luis Obispo.
So… what will you be doing? You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful project. You will design the following Embedded Systems Components:
- A file system suitable for high-speed logging that is fault tolerant including unexpected power loss and runs in a multi-threaded environment.
- A log management system that accommodates high-speed downloads via Wi-Fi and/or USB connection.
About you
IMDEX’s Internships are a strategic initiative providing students with practical on-the-job training opportunities within IMDEX. Our programs allow Interns to complete work-based projects, developing and applying in a professional setting the knowledge and skills acquired through their studies.
Technical Prerequisites include common Embedded Systems developer skills:
- C/C++ programming experience.
- Understanding of Multi-threaded Real Time Operating System.
- Basic networking knowledge including https and ftp.
- Simple desktop application programming with one or more of the following: C#, Java, Python, C++.
