The State Water Resources Control Board, Los Angeles Region has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer in the Industrial Permitting Unit of the Watershed Regulatory Section. The position location is 320 W. 4th Street, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90013, right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, near light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties:

The WRCE position is responsible for preparing and managing National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs), and resolutions associated with individual industrial facilities. The WRCE is required to work independently, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, respond timely to questions/requests, and become proficient in the required duties. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
