Project Scheduler

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Scheduler is responsible for complex analysis and review of all project schedules and other documentation for utility-scale solar and storage projects. You will partner with Project Leads, Project Managers, and EPC subcontractors to effective manage the project schedules across the whole portfolio.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage and control all scheduling data through project schedule software from Development through all Construction phases of a project. 
  • Enter actual start/finish dates and progress percent complete into the project schedules per Project Lead/Project Manager input. 
  • Assist with gathering information and putting together the preliminary and baseline schedules for each project. 
  • Develop three-week look ahead schedules with the assistance of our Project Leads, Project Managers, and EPC subcontractors. 
  • Submit schedule information for Project Lead/Project Manager reporting. 
  • Create proposals and bid schedules with the help of the Business Development and Construction departments. 
  • Continuously update schedule to determine the current progress of the project relative to the Critical Path, baseline schedule, and contract. 
  • Prepare monthly project schedule updates including written narrative and custom reports, as needed. 
  • Develop recovery schedules in collaboration with the project team. 
  • Determine the critical paths required to meet the overall project completion date, modify critical paths based on prevailing conditions, and consult with the project teams to create plants to overcome challenges. 
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction project scheduling or project management role. 
  • Technology: 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
    • Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Skills/Attributes: 
    • Demonstrated ability to influence highly effective teams, both internally and externally.
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. 
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and situations to make decisions. 
    • Exceptional organizational skills. 
    • High-degree of self-motivation with the ability to effectively solve problems with little direction. 
  • Travel: 10%
