Microbiologist I – Madison, WI 1st Shift/3rd Shift

 

Available Shifts:

 

  • Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Wednesday - Sunday
  • Schedule: 10:30 pm to 7:00 am Sunday through Thursday

 

 

Starting wage $23-$26/hr.

 

$1,000 Sign-on bonus for external applicants!

About You…

 

The Microbiologist I is responsible for working with the QC team to support production and supply chain through sampling and microbiological testing.

 

You Will Spend Your Time...

 

  • To perform this position successfully, the candidate should be able to perform the following tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Perform lab testing on dairy cultures with accurate and timely recording of results into the SAP Quality Management module.
  • Put together trial blends and complete testing of dairy cultures for the Aspen blender.
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices for the care, handling, and storage of food and Dietary Supplement products.
  • Perform environmental sampling procedures.

 

Required Experience...

 

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or similar field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed
