Power Quality Analysis Student Employee

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in designing, building, programming, and executing power quality lab testing and experiments
• Perform programming in Matlab and/or Python to support project needs as necessary.
• Collect data, perform basic calculations, and report findings to engineering staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications:

• Certifications and/or currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in using electrical measurement equipment and analysis tools such as Python and Matlab.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and fundamentals
• Experience in any of the following is a plus: OpenDSS, Tensor Flow, Latex.

Core Skills and Attributes:

• Good technical writing skills. Experience in writing and publishing IEEE papers is a plus.
• A good grasp on electrical engineering fundamentals. Experience with power system analysis or fundamentals of machine learning is a plus.
• Good teamwork skills and ability to learn from others
• Strong time management skills and dedication to quality.
