English/Language Arts Teachers
Requirements:
- Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of English or Subject Matter Specialization – English Language Arts Grades 5-8)
- Knowledge/Experience working with anthology and novel-based instruction;
- Proficient at modeling/teaching/assessing written expression;
- Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA;
- Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for language arts (ie: NJSLA)
- Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
- Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching – a plus
- Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
- Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
