Inside Sales Engineer

Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer needs, applying engineering solutions, producing technical quotations, and executing project follow up activities in coordination with the sales team. Incumbent will be able to identify and design business and sales objectives, discover customer pain points, offer recommendations and recognize new market opportunities. They will function with a minimum amount of supervision after training and will be responsible for following department procedures.  BRECOflex CO., L.L.C is an ISO 9001 certified company.  This role is responsible for learning, understanding and demonstrating ISO 9001 standards through daily work activities.

In this position, employee will be responsible for making decisions regarding product specification recommendations, product specification changes, returned product evaluations and corresponding required actions including prioritizing follow up of high potential sales. 

 

Essential Job Requirements:

∙      Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology required

∙      An in-depth understanding and technical competence in industrial/packaging/drive components manufacturing

∙      Inquisitive nature with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting

∙      Machine visualization and understanding

∙      Ability to interpret and create technical drawings

∙      Professional written and spoken communications skills

∙      Engaging and outgoing personality and passion for helping customers.

∙      Apply understanding and knowledge of BRECOflex products to assist customers with their quote requests

∙       Computer literate including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, CRM Database, SAGE/ERP, Pricing Programs

∙      Proficient use of company CAD modeling system

∙      Proficiency in product line and manufacturing process, after internal training is complete

∙      Proven experience in an environment with customer interaction

∙      Time and project management skills

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

∙      Previous sales experience where influencing, persuading and/or negotiating skills were needed

∙      Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

∙      Knowledge of industrial automation and related machinery components

 

Job Functions:

∙      Provides customers with sales and technical support via phone, email, chat and video

o   Receives escalated items to resolve and quote

o   Recognize customers with requests or product needs that require advanced support and escalate

∙      Generate new business growth through cross-selling and upselling

∙      Issues quotes in response to inbound requests

o   Utilizes all pricing tools and methods including requesting quotes from vendors

o   Checks inventory to coordinate lead times

o   Assists customer in understanding expedite and lead times and fees. 

o   Evaluates customer requests including part drawings and produces quotes

∙       Follow up on pending quotes through direct communication as defined by the sales process.

o   Works directly with outside sales team members to support territory and customers

o   Route qualified leads to inside/outside sales team as appropriate

∙      Evaluates customer samples and returned product for specifications or improvements

∙      Performs internal ISO audits as needed

∙      Acts as product line specialist as designated

∙      Educates customers through: assisting at trade show booth, on-site customer visits

∙      Troubleshoots issues at customer sites remotely or on-site as appropriate.

∙      Supports department activities and goals and any assigned metrics

o   Assists teammates to meet customer demand

o   Projects, assignments and daily tasks as assigned by management

 

Physical/Environmental:

∙      Temperature controlled office environment, inclusive of competing ambient noise

∙      Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for long periods of time
