Intern - Equipment Maintenance Technician


The Equipment Maintenance Technician Intern position is intended to provide part-time employment for a student enrolled in a 2-year technical or 4-year engineering degree program.  The Intern will work under the supervision of senior technicians in an industrial setting at a semiconductor manufacturing facility.  Primary work objectives include:

Assisting site technicians in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor fabrication equipment.

Analyze Tool faults and failures to assist troubleshooting efforts and repair processes.

Operate Fab equipment under supervision to assess suitability for production use.

Other duties or projects may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a 2-year technical school or 4-year university in an electrical or mechanical curriculum.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, architectural plans, and written specifications.

Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Ability to safely use basic hand tools.

Basic computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is a plus.
 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, sit, kneel, and stand for up to 3 hours at a time.

Lift up to 50 lbs. and push or drag up to 100 lbs.

Climb and descend ladders.

Grasp with both hands.

Lifting, pushing, climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
