Manufacturing Process Improvement Intern

CPM Acquisition Corp. is looking for interns and co-ops.  Our goal is to find great talent and cultivate a career for a strong candidate post-college.  This is a developmental program with a highly successful business with advancement opportunities. As a manufacturing process improvement intern, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and to streamline processes. You’ll also have the chance to analyze data and suggest innovative solutions. It’s a hands-on role that will give you valuable experience in process optimization and project management. We are looking for a highly motivated detail-oriented person with strong technical mechanical aptitude coupled with proficient organizational skills, and outstanding people skills. This is a career development role, and we are looking for upwardly mobile candidates.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with assembly, fabrication, and production schedule, along with, material replenishment shop supervisors 
  • Develop step by step work instructions
  • Implement optimization Assembly, Machining and Fabrication Shop floor areas 
  • Analyze and optimize production methods
  • Implementation and recommendation of new equipment and tools to improve process.
  • Increase efficiency to reduce costs
  • Process mapping
  • Data analysis

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Industry / Manufacturing 4.0 
  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently with little supervision
