TSMC Arizona is looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineering intern to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s Facilities organization is responsible for operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, chemical, water and industrial automation systems across more than 4 million sq-ft of office, cleanroom and industrial space. 

 

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Perform walkdown and validation of systems against drawings
  • Learn the sequence of operations of facilities systems.
  • Perform validation and startup of facilities systems for a finite scope of work.
  • Develop documentation for ongoing operations and maintenance
  • You will work around systems including 230kV/34.5kV transformers & Switchgear as well as diesel generators, Uninterruptable Power Systems and transmission lines
  • Other special projects relevant to the section.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelors/Masters in electrical engineering degree program
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location, from May 20th, 2024 – August 2nd, 2024
  • Understanding of Power Systems including transformers, switchgear, breakers, transmission lines, generators & UPSs
  • Team player, good communication skills, ability to handle ambiguity
