Paid Summer Intern / Camp Counselor

Sonrise Mountain Ranch is a Christ-centered interdenominational retreat center in a spectacular mountain valley of southwestern Colorado with a mission to grow "Great Commandment, Great Commission" families. We host week-long summer retreats, encouraging participants to embrace God’s design for family and giving them a chance to deepen their relationships with the Lord and each other.

Interns at Sonrise Mountain Ranch serve alongside the permanent staff and volunteers in our youth and children's program, as well as in various other areas of the ministry as needed. Each retreat includes 2-4 hours of youth and children’s programming daily, during which interns work under the direction of the Youth and Children's Program Director. At other times, interns assist in programmed family activities (object lessons, games, campfires), in serving and cleaning up after meals, and in other tasks/projects that are essential to the ministry. Interns and permanent staff spend intentional relational time together weekly with the goal of becoming more like Christ. Interns have the opportunity to grow in their understanding of Christ-like leadership, to minister to families, and to discover the joy of living in Biblical community through their experience at Sonrise.

The summer internship starts May 18, 2024 and ends August 15, 2024.  Deviations from these dates must be approved during the internship application process. 

Compensation: $700/month + food, housing, utilities.
