Summer Camp Counselor and Activity Instructor

Do you have a passion for the outdoors and working with kids? Are you interested in spending your summer in beautiful Vermont, working with our campers and sharing that passion? Camp Lochearn for Girls is a residential summer camp located in Post Mills, Vermont (20 minutes from Dartmouth College) and we are currently hiring activity instructors & cabin counselors for the summer of 2024.

Being a cabin staff member is one of the most rewarding ways to spend your summer. By the end of the four week session, our counselors realize the truly remarkable impact they have on their campers. Our cabin counselors live in a cabin with 4-8 girls. Cabin duties include taking care of the girls in the mornings, at rest hour after lunch, and in the evenings. When the counselors are not with their campers during the day, they are teaching activities in their respective program area.

Each summer, we strive to create a fun, hardworking, and exciting experience for both our campers and counselors. Our activities include waterfront activities such as canoeing, skiing, and sailing, land sports, fine arts, performing arts and hiking through the Green Mountains of Vermont and White Mountains of New Hampshire. This is an incredible opportunity for college students to get experience working with children of all ages and staff from all over the world and gain internship credit if needed.
