Summer Day Camp- Camp Counselor

Long Island Day Camp seeking counselors to fulfill summer positions only.

Ideal position for a student who is studying to be a teacher. 

Candidate must work 8 weeks (Monday July 1, 2024 - Friday August 23, 2024)  from         8:15 am- 3:45 pm.

Will be working with children between the ages of 4-14. You will be responsible for supervising campers and will be an active partcipant in all camp activities while keeping the children safe. The duties include teaching children and teenagers outdoor and recreational skills, overseeing camp activities, learning and implementing emergency protocol efforts to ensure the protection of camper. Counselors will interact with campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, encourage new things and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
