Parks, Recreation, Outdoors paid resident internships @ Camp Weequahic
Every summer we welcome passionate, independent, and caring young adults to live and learn in our community. We call them interns and camp counselors, but the kids call them friends.
Camp Weequahic is a residential camp located in Northeast Pennsylvania (about 3 hours from New York City). We are currently looking for awesome staff to intern and teach Archery, Open Fire Cooking, Climbing, Outdoor Living Skills, Marksmanship, Low Ropes, High Ropes, Nature, Zip Lining in our Outdoor Adventure program. This is a great opportunity for Parks, Recreation and Outdoors Majors to get hands on experience. Staff must be confident, thoughtful, playful, and fun but do not need to have prior experience in any of the above areas.
All outdoor adventure staff are led by our very experienced Outdoor Adventure Director and Assistants. They spend the off-season creating curriculums and provide excellent outdoor adventure staff training during staff training week.
All outdoor adventure staff are required to attend our onsite ropes certification course during pre-staff training week. Staff must be fit enough to belay during the warm summer months, and have a love of the outdoors.

$2000 plus housing, meals, staff uniform, free laundry service, transportation to/from airport, all expenses paid
