Maintenance - Summer Internship

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build documentation for new incoming equipment and add/improve to existing documentation.
  • Integrate BOM’s, schematic and print documentation into floor level for maintenance support of equipment. 
  • Build PM procedures for new incoming equipment and implement it into SAP. Create/update asset equipment tree
  • Build/update Standardized operating procedures for maintenance personnel for everyday routines.
  • Document and assist storeroom with setting up additional parts/critical spares, implement point of use stations on floor level. 
  • Responsible for new/existing projects, including working closely with integrators/contractors/vendors
  • Assist with designs and engineering solutions for the projects assigned
  • Work with programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robotics. Specifically: Allen Bradley; Siemens; and Fanuc
  • Read and understand electrical prints and ladder logic
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, process efficiencies and machine reliability
  • Research and identify robotics technology for use on the plant floor
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for robotics
  • Assist in develop new control systems and modify existing systems
  • Work with plant production to evaluate areas for process improvement and then oversee improvement from concept to implementation
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems; identify need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to optimize performance and reliability
  • Analyze data and present findings in written report form
  • Research new technologies and investigate their integration into plant applications
  • Other duties as assigned

            

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Rising College student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics)
  • A strong team player is necessary with the ability to coordinate efforts of many individuals internal and external to the organization.
  • Sound decision making ability, computational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, document control/recording information, routings, revisions, layouts and tooling.
  • Some exposure to principal engineering and techniques, procedures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Fluency in design techniques with PLC, automation/robotics, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of machine and tools, including their design, uses, repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong skillset in PLC and Controls/ Automation.
  • Knowledge of CAD design (UG, CAD or solid works) a must.
  • Knowledge of MS-Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Access (preferred)
  • Ability to work outside.
