Daily Responsibilities:

Working at camp is not your typical job/internship. You are living and working at the same place in a community lifestyle for 8 weeks. Your primary role will be working with the campers as a counselor, living in a bunk with campers and other co-counselors. A counselor is always directly responsible for the safety of the campers they are supervising. You report directly to the Campus Leaders and together supervise the campers’ daily schedule and general life at camp.

During activity periods, Activity Specialists are at their designated area teaching groups of 15-30 campers at a time. Groups are organized by gender and age. A typical day has six 50 minute activity periods. You are responsible for instructing different levels and abilities, from beginners to experienced, working with Department Heads and Program directors to execute lesson plans. You will be directly involved with the curriculum planning, participant engagement and execution of a successful program related to your sport. Our Activity Specialists are responsible for coaching games and playing in tournaments with other camps. This is a great opportunity for developing professionals to get hands-on coaching and teaching experience with a wide variety of ages and abilities.

When you are not at your specialty, you will be with your assigned group as a general counselor. You can read more about camp life in our company profile page. Further expectations will be discussed during the interview and are reviewed in the Staff Handbook and during Staff Training onsite prior to the start of Camp.
