Description

1PointFive, a subsidiary of Occidental, a publicly traded company, is the leading, industrial-scale Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Sequestration business with a mission to curb global temperature rise to 1.5°C by 2050.  1PointFive plans to commercialize Carbon Engineering’s DAC and AIR TO FUELS™ solutions—in conjunction with carbon sequestration hubs.  1PointFive will own and operate DAC and AIR TO FUELS™ facilities, and Sequestration Hubs and provide a pathway to large-scale global decarbonization.

We are looking for ambitious and talented sales development specialists to join a newly-established sales and marketing team.  In this early-level role, you'll hone your sales skills by reaching out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, social networking, and phone calls, to develop long-term relationships with potential clients for carbon removal credits and low carbon fuels. You will work closely to convert outbound leads with the rest of the sales & marketing team into long-term customer relationships.

You're energetic, highly ambitious, organized and you have a strong desire to learn.  You've always been entrepreneurial and passionate about the environment and sustainability.

·       Develop relationships with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environment Social and Governance (ESG), sustainability leaders in a range of businesses and industries with emission reduction commitments.

·       Introduce and educate potential carbon and sustainability clients on portfolio of sustainability products including carbon removal credits and low carbon fuels.

·       Identify carbon and sustainability client’s goals and objectives and recommend appropriate sustainability solutions.

·       Follow closely voluntary carbon markets and support the sales & marketing team in gathering market intelligence.

·       Support marketing campaigns to existing clients and an established lead base.

·       Represent the company at industry events and tradeshows.

·       Maintain regular communication on activity with the rest of the sales & marketing team.

·       Manage a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to improve sales efficiency, support data analytics, and process optimization.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree related to ESG (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, etc.

·       Entry level experience in environmental markets, particularly in carbon markets, is a plus

·       Demonstrated belief in and commitment to climate change mitigation and broader sustainability objectives

·       Excellent written and oral command of English

·       Persuasive / Professional Communication - communication via phone, email, and when presenting is professional, informative, concise, and takes into consideration all audience members.

·       Must maintain minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

·       Must have a graduation date of December 2023 – May 2024
