
Research Development Civil Engineering
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experience in GIS, geoscience, geology, and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, RR, and GIS.
- Familiarity with research mathematics, research physical sciences, and atmospheric science.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel programming.
- Understanding of machine learning techniques for data analysis and prediction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and numerical computation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Write technical reports and journal articles to disseminate knowledge gained through Corps of Engineer projects.
- Collaborate with other engineers and scientists in the execution of research and reimbursable projects.
- Determine existing and future potential coastal engineering and navigation research needs.
- Foster collaboration between the Engineer and Research Development Center and academia.
- Write proposals and other documents to obtain research and reimbursable funds.
- Assemble and organize data in narrative form for presentation and publications.
- Deliver research products (reports, software, analyses, and databases).
