Thermochemical Research Technician

The Thermochemical Research Technician is involves working on biomass pyrolysis plant to produce hydrocarbon and aviation fuels from various biomass feedstocks. The technician will work with a postdoctoral research fellow to produce the fuels.  The responsibilities will include:

1. operating prototype  fluidized bed pyrolysis reactor
2. operating pilot scale fluidized bed pyrolysis reactor
3. Synthesis of hydrodeoxygenation catalyst for biocrude oil deoxygenation
4. Characterization of hydrodeoxygenation catalyst
5. Evaluation of hydrodeoxygenation catalyst in a high pressure reactor.

Wages and salary: Remuneration will be according to experience of applicant.
