Integrated system and controls engineer

Mechanical/electrical/systems research engineer with knowledge and experience in computer-machine interaction, controls, and system automation.   Experience is also desired with industrial system programming, machine vision, system identification, industrial network technology, and artificial intelligence / machine learning.    Must be able to work within a team to leverage multidisciplinary skills.   

The staff member will support and/or lead research project teams which are developing advanced control and automation technologies for next generation, net-zero emission power production systems which operate from fossil fuels or carbon containing wastes.  These systems are being developed by NETL projects on-site, or through external partners.   Integration and optimal control of these systems poses a challenge to their technical maturation and eventual commercialization.
