Location:  Kohler, WI
Shift Schedule: First / Day Shift
Do you have an interest in helping create innovative new products and technologies? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technician, who is passionate about making a difference, to join our dynamic team within the Product Lab of Kohler’s Kitchen & Bath division. 
As an Engineering Technician II, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge products that have a positive impact on our customers by flexing your technical expertise, engaging your problem-solving skills, and a working as a member of a collaborative team. 

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborates with cross-functional product development teams to conduct testing and evaluation of product prototypes to various KOHLER and national standards.

  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are completed in an accurate manner, while being committed to meeting project deadlines.

  • Maintains a keen attention to detail to prepare complete records of tests conducted, procedures used, and testing results, paying specific attention to report any unusual results that may affect the outcome of the test.

  • Utilizes knowledge and experience in the safe operation of laboratory equipment and adherence to ISO 17025 procedures.

  • Participates in laboratory and equipment maintenance and calibration tasks in accordance with laboratory policy.

  • Innovates freely and supports engineering innovation initiatives throughout Kohler Company.
  • Works as an effective team member, who maintains a positive, professional approach.
Skills/Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a Science or Engineering field OR high school graduate with at least two years of proven experience working in product development or related role, preferably within a laboratory environment.

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of laboratory equipment and conducting laboratory tests.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and report writing skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
