Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position
This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Electronic Systems Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA you will:
- Work with suppliers on development of embedded systems hardware for construction equipment.
- Provide embedded systems architecture support for various machine platforms.
- Provide problem solving support on embedded systems issues for various machine platforms.
- Participate on enterprise teams as the embedded systems representative for the Construction division.

What Skills You Need
- Ability to understand electrical/electronics schematics and design
- Experience performing analysis, design, and testing of electronic circuits
- Experience with electronic components, such as: Microcontrollers, memory technologies, analog, and digital circuitry, etc.
- Proficient with electronics tools, such as: oscilloscopes, multimeters, simulators, debuggers, etc.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to groups of people
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in Embedded Software Development for mobile equipment applications
- Experience designing and/or selecting electronic/electrical components for embedded systems
- Knowledge of Ethernet, CAN, and LIN Communications, as well as analysis tools
- Experience in validation and verification of electronic/electrical components
- Strong project management skills and leadership potential
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
