Biologist/Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist

Summary

These positions are in the Office of Research and Development, Office of Science Advisor, Policy & Engagement, Extramural Research & Partnership Division, Extramural Research Branch. 
These are office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected). Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.

Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will:
  • Coordinate and implement the scientific program area needs in the Safe and Sustainable Water Research (SSWR), Sustainable and Healthy Communities (SHC), Air and Energy (AE), and Chemical Safety and Sustainability (CSS) research grant programs.
  • Perform scientific and technical analyses to support overall program goals.
  • Communicate research findings to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Build a professional liaison network with others in ORD and the EPA to advance scientific program goals.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
