Chemical Engineering Intern

OxEon Energy is hiring a summer intern to work with the Systems Engineering Team on analysis, test, and design for first-of-a-kind system builds. The Chemical Engineering Intern will have the following Roles and Responsibilities:                                          
·  Test data collection from LabVIEW and analysis in Excel or Matlab
·  HX and thermal analysis of systems
·  In lab work helping modify, set-up, and run experiments.
·  Possibly some simulation analysis work, if experienced with VMGSim, ChemCad, Python, or Aspen
·  SOP documentation
·  Field operations (process operations; instrument tuning; understanding of P&IDs; ready to turn a wrench as needed)
·  Documentation management – Creation of Equipment and Instrumentation Lists, Spec Sheets, and Bills of Materials
 
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements: 
Junior or Senior working towards a Chemical Engineering Degree.
 
Must be able to reliably commute to the North Salt Lake office.
 
Must be able to frequently be lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. with help, although not on a daily basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights.
